My Story

Hi, I’m Aimee, a Product Designer based in the SF Bay Area. I bring 2+ years of digital product design experience, paired with 8 years in financial services across both underwriting and client-facing roles.

Before moving into design, I led underwriting operations at Sun Life, where I supported business owners to acquire workplace insurance for their employees. I spearheaded workflow automation initiatives and developed pricing tools that improved efficiency, enabling teams to deliver faster services and more accurate pricing decisions. These experiences honed my ability to dig into root causes and collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex business challenges.

I asked myself: If customer touchpoints are becoming digital-first in the financial sector, who's going to define their experiences? That question inspired my pivot into user experience design, where I now work to get closer to the end users and create research-backed experiences that feels both elegant and intuitive.

I thrive at the intersection of UX and product strategy. Now, I'm also sharpening my coding literacy to take ideas from how it looks, feels, and works to how it's actually built.
