Why did you pursue a career in UX?
My desire to pivot to a career in UX stems from my experiences as a project leader and a direct beneficiary of digital transformation during my time at Sun Life Financial. Witnessing the positive impacts of digital transformation on operational processes, I developed a strong desire to be the creator of these experiences.
What do you like about your job?
I love working with people, and making things for people. I've enjoyed working with users to understand their pain points and figure out how we can design solutions to make their lives easier.
What is your personality type?
I am a go-getter and I feel fullfilled when I turn ideas into reality. I am a good listener and sensative to the emotions of those around me. I value collaboration and thrive in environments where teamwork is encouraged, however I find my highest productivity when working independently.
What is your biggest hobby right now?
I'm addicted to pickleball. I typically spend around 12 hours a week on the court. It’s a great way to stay active, competitive, and connected with others.
Do you have any pets?
We had a cream-colored French Bulldog named Dobby. He was with us for six wonderful years and taught me to be kind, patient, and resilient to the challenges we face in life. Sadly, Dobby passed away last year due to disease, but his memory continues to warm our hearts every day.
What's your most adventurous experience?
We went on a month-long RV trip and drove across half of the country during the pandemic. From cities to deserts and national parks, our journey was an unforgettable adventure. Throughout this trip, we met people from different parts of the country and exchanged life stories.
